The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), through its circular dated January 12, 2024, has outlined a framework to help clients safeguard their accounts through voluntary freezing/blocking. This feature is particularly useful in cases of suspicious activity or if you wish to restrict account access temporarily.

How to Freeze Your Trading Account with Wealthy?

Modes of Freezing Your Account

We offer two simple methods to request a freeze:

1. Email: Send your request to customer.support@wealthy.in.
2. Chat Support: Use the chat feature on the Wealthy App, available from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (excluding Sundays and public holidays).
   
   
   

Step-by-Step Procedure

1. Submit Your Request: Use one of the prescribed modes to send your freeze request.
2. Verification: We’ll validate the request to ensure it’s from a registered client.
3. Account Action:
   Freeze/block online access to your account.
   Cancel all pending orders immediately.

What Happens After Freezing?

Once your account is frozen, you’ll receive a confirmation via SMS and email. Here’s what to expect:

1. Trading Access Restricted: You’ll be logged out of the app, but you can still log in to view account details without the ability to trade.
2. Pending Orders Canceled: All online and offline pending orders will be canceled.
3. Fund Access: You can still add or withdraw funds, but profile modifications are restricted.
4. Open Positions:
   Close open positions before freezing your account.
   Details of open positions and contract expiry will be shared within an hour of freezing.
   If needed, call 9035033597 to close positions.

Unfreezing Your Trading Account

To unfreeze your account, simply email customer.support@wealthy.in with your request. We’ll guide you through the re-enablement process.

Important Notes

• Once submitted, a freeze request cannot be canceled. However, you can initiate an unfreeze request via email.
• Freezing applies only to online access and does not impact the risk management activities of Wealthy.

Freezing your account does not mark your Unique Client Code (UCC) as inactive in exchange records.
