Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index records a surge of 1.16%

Nifty Pharma index ended up 1.16% at 27021.15 today. The index has added 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Mankind Pharma Ltd jumped 5.96%, Wockhardt Ltd rose 4.85% and Laurus Labs Ltd gained 3.25%. The Nifty Pharma index has increased 19.00% over last one year compared to the 7.55% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index increased 1.14% and Nifty FMCG index gained 0.95% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 increased 0.29% to close at 23414.3 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 0.76% to close at 74858.99 today.
