East India Drums secures contract from Munitions India Limited for Rs 2.04 crore

East India Drums & Barrels Manufacturing Limited announced it has been awarded a contract through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) by Munitions India Limited, a Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, for the supply of 1519 barrels with a 200 LITRE capacity for packing and transportation, as per IS 1783. The contract, identified as GEMC-511687754032147, reinforces the company’s position in the defence sector and reflects confidence in its manufacturing capabilities, according to a regulatory filing on August 19, 2026.
