India's Commerce Minster to visit Germany and Netherlands to deepen econmic partnerships

Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal is scheduled for an official visit to Germany (October 22–24, 2026) and the Netherlands (October 24–27, 2026) to strengthen strategic economic partnerships, broaden bilateral trade, and foster industrial and technological collaboration. While in Berlin, Shri Piyush Goyal will feature in the Berlin Global Dialogue, interacting with international policymakers and global business leaders to showcase India’s macroeconomic stability, manufacturing capabilities, and critical role in developing resilient global supply chains.

During the summit, the Minister is scheduled to conduct significant bilateral discussions with the German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) and the Economic and Financial Policy Advisor and G7/G20 Sherpa at the Federal Chancellery of Germany. These engagements will center on reinforcing bilateral trade and investment pathways, expediting technological and industrial collaboration in advanced engineering, green mobility, and clean technology, and investigating market entry and investment prospects stemming from the present India–EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations.

In the Netherlands, Goyal will spearhead extensive government-to-government (G2G) interactions in The Hague, conducting bilateral ministerial consultations with the Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate and the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation to investigate broadened trade avenues and green transition programs. The visit will further include pivotal discussions with the King’s Commissioner of North Holland and members of the Dutch Parliament’s committees on foreign trade and European affairs.
