Garden Reach secures Rs 45.02 crore order from WBTDCL for two electric ferries

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited announced it has received an order from the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited (WBTDCL) on August 24, 2026, for the procurement of two 100-passenger electric ferries, valued at Rs 45.02 crore. The project is expected to be completed within 18 months, and neither the company’s promoters, promoter group, or group companies have any interest in WBTDCL, nor does the order constitute a related party transaction. Trading volume reached 3.98 lakh shares today, a 44.17% increase compared to the average volume of the last one week. Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. rose 1.97% year-over-year, outperforming the 3.32% loss registered by the NIFTY50 index.
