Britannia Industries Ltd soars 1.69%, rises for third straight session

Britannia Industries Ltd rose for a third straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 6015.5, up 1.69% on the day as on 12:49 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is down around 0.13% on the day, quoting at 26012.4. The Sensex is at 85193.94, down 0.09%. Britannia Industries Ltd has added around 3.17% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty FMCG index of which Britannia Industries Ltd is a constituent, has added around 1.67% in last one month and is currently quoting at 54490.8, up 0.47% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 1.37 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 2.83 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark December futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 6035, up 1.82% on the day. Britannia Industries Ltd is up 24.12% in last one year as compared to a 5.45% gain in NIFTY and a 3.44% gain in the Nifty FMCG index.

The PE of the stock is 61.88 based on TTM earnings ending September 25.
